I'm Showing in Calgary this week

Larry Dugdale, a businessman and friend from Calgary, convinced me to go west and put on a show at the Iron Crow Antiques in Calgary starting tomorrow.  Larry and his family have been coming to Prince Edward Island for more than 15 years - they came to my studio for the first time a year and half ago.
So if any of you following my blog are in Calgary please stop by.

Large Stepback Cupboard

I picked up this dresser last week and turned it into a stepback cupboard.  It's the widest dresser I've ever come across.  I like the detail on the front sides so I did the top sides to match.  I got the drawers sliding good - that's always an important goal of mine.
 Here's my building process...

Mark Butcher Coffee Table

One day a while back I had quite a few antiques on my truck and drove up to an antique store - they noticed I had this old table and said it was a Mark Butcher piece.  It wasn't in very good shape - I was going to take the legs off and put them in storage but when she said that I thought it was worth saving.  So I made it into a coffee table.
     I measures 26" by 42".
