I made this stepback this week - the bottom is a old wash stand. I went with a new color in a light peach.
"HANDS ON: ALIENS IN THE ATTIC. Wacky, fun, iconoclastic--these are the hallmarks of a folk artist, and P.E.I. Native Kerras Jeffery has them in spades". NATIONAL POST Jan/2011
This blog changed from a daily blog to a blog to celebrate the folk art of Kerras Jeffery, as well as his reproduction furniture and other projects. His studio & shop closed in 2017 following his passing.

Old Shutters turned into Cabinets and Clothes Hampers
I had these old wooden shutters down in my fathers barn and thought I'd
do something with them - so I made three cabinets and two clothes hampers.
The cabinets have shelves in them and the hampers have false bottoms in them for air circulation.

Fly Fishin'
I call this new piece "fly fishin" - a lady asked me to carve a frog for her
garden. I carved it from a cedar block of wood - for the bottom foot I used a piece off a set of fireplace tongs.
Here's my nephew enjoying time with the frog.

I'm house-cleaning - Box Lots for Sale
I've come to the point where I am running out of room - so I'm house-clearing my attic, bus and the barn. I'm putting things into "box lots" for sale for $20/box. These are things that have been around too long and now have to go - stuff I don't use in my folk art or reproduction furniture.
Pigs Can Fly!
Here's my latest piece - "pigs can fly". The propeller sure spins when they're in the wind!
The pigs are made from wood. The legs are made from old bed spindles legs.
I have a bushing (a type of bearing) in the propeller to cut down wear - it makes then spin faster.
