Horse Quilt Rack

     This horse I made as a quilt rack.  I used stair spindles for the legs and added rubber chair knobs on the bottom of the legs.  For the tails I used part of an old sewing machine.
     It measure 3'-0" in height and 4'-0" long.

 Below are the raw pieces i used to make the horse.

Hoss and his horse

    I just finished this piece today.  On the bottom I have written, "I wish HOSS would lose some weight my back is killing me."
     It is carved out of wood; the rim of Hoss' hat is part of a license plate; the legs are made from dowels; and the horses tail is made from a dinner fork. 

General Store Sign for Millage & Lloyd, St. Peter's

     I had a client in a couple of weeks ago looking to get a sign made. Here's the sign I made - the general store is in St. Peter's, P.E.I.

  I made a few extra horses while I was at it for future use.

Bronco Ride

     This bronco rider came together great.  I had the two sets of pliers handles left over from another folkart piece from last month and thought they'd make great horse legs. The horse's tail and mane are made from standard dinner forks. The hat brim is a beer bottle cap.

Horse & Pig home for the Winter

    My horse and pig came home last week from the summer over at Kingsbrae Gardens at St. Andrews by the Sea, N.B.
     The horse and pig are for sale.  same too for the wagon wheels aginst the shop.
