Sofa Table

I had a costumer who saw a sofa table on Pinterest and loved it - they asked me if I could make something close to it.  This is what I came up with for them.
Below is what we started with from Pinterest.

Old Parlour Set to TV Stand/Sofa Table

I got this old parlour set last week.  When I got it home I was close to using it for firewood because it was in such bad shape.  But then I got thinking if I cut it up and used various pieces I could make something out of it.  In the end I made a T.V. Stand / Sofa Table from the parts.

Sofa Table made with iron cresting

I had this old cast iron trim piece for a while and thought it would look good as a sofa table.
The iron piece (also known as "iron cresting") came from the Hennessey Cutcliffe Funeral Home, 35 Longworth Ave., Charlottetown - the house was built in 1876 for Premier Lemuel Owen and became a funeral home in the 1960s.
The table measures 36" high by 43" wide.
Below is a photo showing the "iron cresting" trimming the verandah roof - it would have been originally on the tower roof and main roof.  The photo cf. http://www.city.charlottetown.pe.ca/searchaproperty.php?propid=2250
