This blog shows the folkart I make, my reproduction furniture and other projects. My studio/shop is in my backyard. It's a couple of miles off the main road in West Prince County, Prince Edward Island, Canada. When you come to visit make sure you see – the "Olde Times" Garden House Museum; Grandma's Attic; the Furniture Box; Grampa's Loft (antiques, old doors, etc. in my Dad’s old barn loft); and my World's Largest Egg Beater, certified by Guinness World Records.

Bill's Cat Catching

This is my latest piece of folk art which i call, "Bill's cat catching".
I started with an old steel paddle car which dates back from the 1950's.  The car is 51" long  28" x high 18 x wide.
Bill's body is made from a old sap bucket.  The rim of his hat is off a pot lid.  His mustache is made of two coat hooks . His goatee is a drawer-pull one end of it.
The horns on the hood are made from a dowel and two coat hooks.
Bill, the dog and cat bodies are all made of carved from cedar wood.
The dogs tongue is the end of a spoon.  The cats tails are the ends of spoons.
For Sale January 2014.
