This blog shows the folkart I make, my reproduction furniture and other projects. My studio/shop is in my backyard. It's a couple of miles off the main road in West Prince County, Prince Edward Island, Canada. When you come to visit make sure you see – the "Olde Times" Garden House Museum; Grandma's Attic; the Furniture Box; Grampa's Loft (antiques, old doors, etc. in my Dad’s old barn loft); and my World's Largest Egg Beater, certified by Guinness World Records.

Porch Cabinet

I was going through a flea market a month ago and came across this nice old door, which has old ripple glass.  The man selling the door said it came from a set of doors from the old stone Charlottetown Public Market.
This cabinet would work great in a porch.
Below is the old Public Market building where this door came from.  The market was designed by William Harris and opened in 1904 - it was destroyed by fire in 1958.  The market was located where The Confederation Center of the Arts is today.

I have bought hundreds of doors over the years but this is one of the best yet.  When we look at old photos of the building and it looks like the same door.
