This blog shows the folkart I make, my reproduction furniture and other projects. My studio/shop is in my backyard. It's a couple of miles off the main road in West Prince County, Prince Edward Island, Canada. When you come to visit make sure you see – the "Olde Times" Garden House Museum; Grandma's Attic; the Furniture Box; Grampa's Loft (antiques, old doors, etc. in my Dad’s old barn loft); and my World's Largest Egg Beater, certified by Guinness World Records.

So if any of you following my blog are in Calgary please stop by.

Large Stepback Cupboard

I picked up this dresser last week and turned it into a stepback cupboard.  It's the widest dresser I've ever come across.  I like the detail on the front sides so I did the top sides to match.  I got the drawers sliding good - that's always an important goal of mine.
 Here's my building process...

Mark Butcher Coffee Table

One day a while back I had quite a few antiques on my truck and drove up to an antique store - they noticed I had this old table and said it was a Mark Butcher piece.  It wasn't in very good shape - I was going to take the legs off and put them in storage but when she said that I thought it was worth saving.  So I made it into a coffee table.
     I measures 26" by 42".
